What do you think of when you hear the word “retirement”? Usually that conjures up anything but images of youth who travel, take on projects showing community and global responsibility, and who are sincere in their desires to give back something of value to others. In the words of entrepreneur, Michael Dunlop, “21 is the new 60.” Michael is the webmaster of Retire@21 a site that is full of great interviews, and resources for the young, as well as the young at heart. A few of the interviews I have gone through so far include those familiar to me such as Yaro Starak, Cameron Johnson and Darren Rowse. Others included Josh Buckley, Timothy Sykes and Thilak Raj Raonames, names I read for the first time.

Reading about a forward thinking leader from the seventies focused on transforming our lives, these young people impressed me because they’re actually living the transformations. Transformation is something that’s been on my mind for quite a while lately. So much in our world has changed… and in very dramatic ways. Lately I’ve been looking at my son a great deal, at his youth and exuberance, his thirst for knowledge and zest for life. Okay, so it makes me feel ancient, but at the same time, it makes me realize how important it is to live in the space you’re in.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted but thanks to those of you who
stuck around, emailed and continue to share my blog thoughts with
others.

All the well wishes during my recent health and life”opportunities” were also appreciated.

This respite helped me realize how often my mind works ahead of itself. In other words, I tend to think in long range terms for stuff, like what will happen two years from now if that thing or this doesn’t fall into place the way I want it to. What will next week bring if changes to certain personalities don’t occur, how will I manage all the details needed to get through the holidays, health opportunities, blogging growth I want to achieve and yadda, yadda, yadda.

Often I feel like I forget how to just breathe. That’s something I’m trying to really achieve, just live in the space I’m in for right now. Plans for this blog have come and gone, changed, matured and changed again. My hope is that all of this will ultimately result in a vibrant blog space where you feel at home. A place to find interesting discussions, timely information, something to mentally “chew” on and where all freely share their thoughts.

As Success Chronicle continues to grow, I would greatly appreciate your taking time to let me know what you want to see here? Do you agree with the things I say? Am I wrong about a certain viewpoint or is there more to the conversation I haven’t considered? What are some of the obstacles to your own success? What have you learned? Talk to me, let me know. This blog was created to be of service to you. Tell me what you want.

Until next time,
Celebrate Your Inner Youth
