Gratitude Attitude

"The Brave May Not Live Long, But The Cautious Do Not Live At All." The Princess Diaries

Creative Commons License photo credit:TheAlieness GiselaGiardino²³ Hearts of Light Today was "one of those days" where I was feeling out of sorts, missing my online friends and colleagues I've had to be away from far too long, because of health challenges in my children. That's one reason I asked in a previous post, who has a harder time as an Entrepreneur. Many of us started this new internet marketing venture together, helping and supporting each other emotionally as we followed our hearts, nurtured our dreams and renewed our spirits. Celebrating everyone's individual growth is natural for me. Seeing others progress confirms for me that we have all found most, if not all of the pieces to the internet marketing puzzles, blogging and successful relationship developments. These friends and colleagues online are, and have always been my inspiration, even though they probably didn't know that until...well, until now. Other inspirations come from the visitors, commenters and readers of my blog, my small but growing following on Twitter, those hearty few who have been requesting to follow my RSS feed, Facebook Friends including the many successful marketers, who were generous enough to add me as their friend, and keep me there, even when my posts are so sporadic, my new social bookmarking friends and all those people who can't (or won't) see the big picture possibilities of internet financial freedom. Most of my life I've been a positive person, a nurturer of sorts to the world, an affirmation lover and very prosperity conscious. Growing an online income that would last over the long haul, creating financial freedom and abundance for my family was, and still is a heady goal. I know that others are hurting and feeling unsupported in their dreams and goals too. That's why I want to make something good come from all the challenges and pain my husband, our children, and I have overcome these past years. If I can' be an inspiration to others to continue in the face of tremendous odds then it can't be done. LOL Mental health care is not cheap, so it's hugely scary paying for it out of our retirement funds now. I keep thinking of an old movie called the "Money Pit" with Shelly Long. It's like one huge whirlpool sucking up everything that comes in. Feeling sorry for myself makes me feel bad, more like weak and overwhelmed. I don't like that, so I keep protecting my head and charging forward. That's the only direction I know how to go in. The Michael Losier training my friend Suzie just completed, was on my future schedule too, but I found I would have to do it next year after things settle down financially. I read recently the next year's session will be in Malaysia, so that kind of took the wind out of my sails again. I've only started flying and the long hours in flight concern me. I'll check to see if maybe they're doing one closer in the states any time soon and worry about funding it when the dates get closer. Tonight I was excited because I found a Law of Attraction Training Center that is more affordable for me and more in line with family time constraints, because I can take modules one at a time as I can generate and attract funding for them. For example, one of the courses is Teaching Law of Attraction Using Accelerated Learning Techniques for Faster Student Integration! [Six hours] Instructor: Michael Losier Fee: $259.

After looking at the coach listings and more on the site, this does not seem to offer the same support system that the Facilitator site does, so it looks like back to the drawing board. Heavy sighing...

This part actually started out as the beginning of my post, so I don't know where all the other venting came from.  Someone else out there must have needed to hear that you are bigger than your challenges in life. Since I was feeling drained, I decided to catch up on my bloglines feeds. I came across this one at Becoming Your Stellar Self URL: A Mighty Wind When things are so challenging that you don't know if you'll have the strength to look tomorrow in the face, it's easy to be forgetful about gratitude. There was a tremendous lesson in this post for me. I hope you will enjoy it also.

Which Path Is Choosing Me?

Langmoor Gardens, Lyme Regis

Today I feel pulled in too many directions. A few days ago after a discussion with another business owner, I was looking at where I was in my life, what I was willing to commit for the lifestyle I want to attract, and wondering if I would recognize "the one" opportunity or direction when it appeared.

Several times I could see the brass ring but it always slips out of sight just before I can grab it firmly. Listening to Michael Losier after Suzie Cheel, my online friend and colleague, attracted her Facilitator dreams, he was saying that whatever situation or results we're getting in our lives, somehow the energy we're putting out or surrounding ourselves with is attracting negative or positive stuff in.

Thinking back to the time we adopted, my husband and I focused so much on what we didn't want, I mean our thoughts were seriously directed to certain health or behavioral characteristics. There were already special circumstances which were overwhelming. So intent were our prayers and thoughts, we got exactly what we didn't want in our children. They are beautiful but all struggle with some health aspect ranging from barely there, all the way up to "Oh, My God! How Will We Ever Get Through This?!"

I love blogging here and sharing my thoughts with everyone, but my original goal for this site was to be more resourceful than I've been able to develop so far. One of the things to come out of that earlier conversation I mentioned, was the realization that somewhere along the line, I became so intent on being a good blogger, affiliate marketer and social networker as I was being instructed, that I forgot to be a business person, and most importantly, I forgot to just be myself. No excuses, just awarenesses.

Comments are always welcome, so thanks in advance.

Lessons On Living... From Randy Pausch

"Brick walls make us prove how badly we want things. They stop those who don't want it badly enough." ~Randy Pausch

Every time I see or hear Randy Pausch, I am filled with mixed emotions. He is such a phenomenal person! And although I marvel at his humanity and the legacy he is living, I am so deeply upset that his space on the planet will one day be physically empty.
Recently I was over at Joel Christopher's Master List Building site and he had this video there. How can a person with so little time live larger, better and share more about living life fully than most of us?
During the lecture, Randy shows a photo of himself as the "child dreamer," and you can still sense this in him as an adult. His incredible strength as he faces the future with the same boyish wonder, has not only made him a hero to me, but to millions of others around the world as well.
At one point, Randy mentions a professor who had "Dutch Uncled" him. It feels like he has found a way to return the favor by presenting this life altering message to a starving world.
Randy Pausch inspires me to be a better person. Using my life and talents to make a difference in the world on a massive scale is one of my dreams. I hope you too, will be uplifted to make a difference in someone's life today.

Have you noticed lately that a lot of people are looking for something else to do in life? I'm talking about Physicians or Lawyers who have become Musicians, Teachers who return to school to become Caterers or Florists.
This isn't a new trend, I think because much of the stigma has been removed from mid-life, or mid-career switching, people feel more empowered to change.
I was reading a review of a book called "Doing Work You Love" recently, by Cheryl Gilman that discussed similar topics.
According to Gilman, a key question was how to first learn what your naturally developed talent(s) were, then once discovered, how did you know best where to use them in the work environment.
Gilman also favors instructing young people on how to find their own unique paths in life. What a lot of wasted time that would save, if we all learned to listen to the ebbs and flows of our own body rhythms early on in life.
This is an excellent book that can really help others struggling to live and work in a fast paced world, but who seek the serenity of a much calmer lifestyle.
Tools are provided to help you really discover what it is you love, and there is guidance for all, whether you're currently employed, out of work, or unhappily employed.
You owe it to yourself to take charge of your life and live it to the fullest. To read more about the book yourself, you might want to take a look below.
