Google Analytics - How To Understand Your Blog Statistics Get Up To Speed (Photo Source) Web-Based Google Analytics Seminar

Today's Success Resources...

Aaron at fulltiltblogging has a timely post on a free Google tool that improves your visitor knowledge, where they enter your site, where they exit, what posts they feature etc.

Just the sort of information you need to provide better service, articles and products to your target markets. I've recently started using this tool (notice I didn't say I understood it all) so the additional tips from Aaron are very helpful.

Photo SourceSign at The Googleplex. Google limited access to Xenu.net, in March 2002.

ROI Revolution is hosting a webinar that I just signed up for called "How to Kick Your Pay-Per-Click Advertising into Overdrive in 3 Months with Google Analytics".

This is going to be exciting for anyone who wants to achieve greater mastery of their blog/site analytics. Flexible dates are available but the spaces are limited so sign up quickly. You only have another 7 days, 8 hours, 11 minutes and 26 seconds left as of this posting.

The seminar is 75 minutes long and covers a lesson that has assisted dozens with implementing this tool. There will be case studies going from good to outstanding, including what their blocks were. Below are the scheduled times according to the site:

Available Dates / Times:

Something wicked this way came... at least in my Technorati faves! I've been under incredible personal stress as many of you know, so I've been off my game for a bit. I wondered why one of my Stumble friends had an undesirable word underneath as a tag. I corrected that. Then when looking at Technorati--- to say I was speechless would be an understatement. What I found was that many undesired posts showed up under my favs... and they are definitely not on any lists I'm a part of.  How can this be possible? Why are negative sites showing up under my Technorati faves?! Have I been hacked somehow? It would appear so. For now, I'm working on getting this garbage deleted immediately, then I'll post to a few friends and Technorati support to see what's amiss. This really stinks.

8 Unusual Ways To Flood Your Site With High Quality Traffic
    papermoneypeople3.jpg
A steady stream of high quality traffic can mean the difference between success or failure to your website or blog. However, many webmasters take this for granted. They live in the, “If you build it they will come” realm, which the rest of us have already figured out doesn’t exist. Others know they need quality traffic, they simply lack the knowledge of how to get it.

So how do those with more web finesse get truckloads of traffic consistently coming to their sites? What key secrets or strategies do they use that can help the bewildered?

Actually, there’s quite a bit they can teach you about finding your own streams of high quality traffic. Things such as how to use search engines more effectively, increasing your conversion rates, and how to diversify your source of traffic for starters. Take a look at the list below for ideas to drive targeted traffic to your sites right away.

Trade Events/ Booth Sponsoring – You’ll find these all over the place with a bit of research and certainly more than one will fit your area of interest. One great source to locate national and international business events is found at Biz TradeShows (http://www.biztradeshows.com). All the major cities are featured and the events listed are pretty comprehensive.

Related Interest Groups – You probably already know the benefits of forum posting a link to your site in your signature, answering questions or listing one of your articles if allowable.

What you might not be so familiar with are groups sharing a related interest to your site content. For example, Yahoo!, Google and Meetup.com all have unique groups which cover a wide variety of topics from mountain climbing to backpacking. Choose a few that fit your site and get involved.

Volunteering – I prefer to call it “community give back.” When you selflessly offer your time to others, it often naturally comes up that you have an internet business. As you participate, members want to learn more about you on a personal level. By donating items from your company to scouting groups, senior citizens or any number of charitable causes, you build community goodwill.

Don’t be content to let it stop there. When you do things that benefit the community, promote it via simple press releases. Public Service Directors are always on the look out for “feel good” news story fillers, and you can probably get a free public service mention on a few radio/television stations too.

Keyword Enhanced Content – Keywords strategically placed on your site may help your site pages rank higher. Think about adding these enhanced keywords in your title and meta tags, in your header, in the name of your page, or throughout the context of your article body. Paying attention to all of these can help increase your page rank overall.

Advertise In Your Community- Create a themed newsletter and offer it free to related or complimentary businesses in your area. Captured eyeballs waiting for appointments, guests or clients to arrive etc. will invariably read everything within reach. Don’t rule out places for fun and recreation, libraries, community bulletin boards and anywhere else people are “captured” for blocks of time.

Mentor A Student For A Week – High Schools and College vocational offices are usually receptive to pairing up their students with well respected business owners for “hands on” training. Do this from the heart and the added press coverage will be even sweeter.

Content Relevance - What’s your tendency when you find something that’s really noteworthy or useful? Usually you share that source of information with others, and it works the same way with top notch site content. Word of mouth has long been proven as an economic and powerful promotion tool, so let it work to your advantage.

Freebies – Reports, articles, e-books, audios and the list goes on. Google the word “free” and you will find it referenced more than three million times. That alone shows you the enormous potential for extra traffic.

There you have it! Keep your creative thinking caps on, your eyes open and your ears peeled. New opportunities to get traffic to your sites are almost around every corner.

If you enjoyed this article, I would appreciate you letting others know about it. I also welcome your personal comments.

Currently there's a site created by blogger Enkay that has a contest where you get the chance to win not only 1 of 5 flippingrich T-Shirts, like the one John Chow has been seen wearing, but you are also guaranteed a link from Enkay's PR 4 ranked blog. If you want in, participation is just easy steps away.
    • First you have to create a post similar to this one about the contest.
    • You need to link from your post to the page here and www.flippingrich.com
    • Then send an e-mail to Enkay telling him you have posted. Be sure to include your name, blog URL and URL of the post you made.
    • Winners will be announced after every 10 submissions (that is, one person wins out of every 10). Good luck to all who enter!

More than a few weeks ago I was tagged by my friend Mark at Whizzer News. I haven't had a chance to really respond until now so my apologies to everyone. Here goes... #Start copy here#

The idea is simple: You want readers and you want link backs too because that's all us bloggers want, it's more precious than milk for some

    So how does it work?

Simple! You just copy the list down below on your blog, hence creating link backs for your blogging friends and then click the RSS feed link to subscribe to all of them. Then you add yourself and up to 5 other bloggers and their feeds to the end of the list before you publish it on your own blog. Show your friends some link love :)

Just imagine if just 10 people would do this and then 10 more after them. That would get your blog 100 extra link backs and 100 extra feed subscribers!

I'm supposed to share 8 random facts about myself but first I have to locate 5 others who have yet to be tagged to see if they want to play. THE RULES: 1. Post these rules before you give you the facts. 2. List eight (8) random facts about yourself. 3. At the end of your post, choose (tag) five people and list their names (linking to them). 4. Leave them a comment on their blog letting them know they've been tagged! 8 Random Facts about Tray Gamble - The Tagging Game
    1. One of my favorite movies is "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" with Rex Harrison.
    2. I enjoy the music of Abba, Cher, Bon Jovi, Phobe Snow and Pink Floyd.
    3. I love movies about mermaids and Greek mythology.
    4. I enjoy watching "The Iron Chef", "Discovery Channel" and Monster Truck Jam.
    5. Soduku and Solitaire are two of my favorite amusements waiting on appointments.
    6. By helping others transform their lives, I will realize one of my goals to "write my name upon the sands of time".
    7. I was formerly a pre-med student who wanted to save the world.
    8. I'm happily married, saving the world with my words and motivation, and living life on my own terms.
