What about that SuperBowl game?! I enjoyed watching both teams play throughout the season. My brother-in-law used to say he “married the wrong sister” because I am such an avid football fan and my younger sister, bless her sweet heart, didn’t yet have a clue. Having kids in junior sports sure changes things.

When players appeared before the game, one of them wearing red/white made a face towards the camera. At first glance, I thought the Patriots were the guys in those uniforms. In all my intuitive confidence, I told my hubby-buddy, “See? They’re going to lose because their heads aren’t in the game. It’s the SuperBowl! Why are they playing around? That’s it. The Giants are winning this.”

Well, as my spouse and the rest of the world already knew, the Giants were “those other guys.” So now I’m looking at their victory and thinking back to the intense faces of the darker uniformed team as they entered the field. You’d think seeing Tom Brady would give me a clue, but hey, I’m entitled to the occasional “duh” moment so we’ll just blame it on that for now okay, friends?
After the fact, I re-considered that camera clowning face again. Maybe there was more to that when you viewed it from a mindset point of view. Going in, the Giants were the David of old meeting an undefeated Goliath. Up against a “perfect season,” they had to lay it all on the line. Maybe the coach’s secret was to encourage them to be proud of getting this far, play hard like there’s no tomorrow, believe in themselves, and most importantly… just have fun! That’s a lesson I think I’ll keep.
I love seeing all your beautiful faces, icons and comments! Thanks for visiting. If you like what I’m blogging about, I’d appreciate you sharing information about my blog with your friends.

Focus - Sometimes everything around you will glitter like beckoning gold. Ask yourself if this is something that will further your goal, or is it simply another delaying distraction.

Passion - It’s not all about the money. “Do what you love and the money will follow. Do something you dislike or loathe, and no amount of money will keep you there.”

Clarity - Have you ever noticed that when you’re trying to accomplish a task with scattered energy, it takes forever? All sorts of obstacles and roadblocks get in your way. Decide on a specific plan of action or direction and things seem to move smoother.

Gratitude - Giving thanks for all that you already have opens the door for more opportunities. Probably because greed and selfishness are absent in heartfelt thankfulness.

Awareness - Put more attention on the actions you take, the activities you enjoy most and where your talents are. Consider the comments or compliments of others regarding your skills. You may be surprised at the new ideas you discover.

Implementation - What actions are necessary to move you forward?

    • Will you require additional education? Check around to see what’s available to you.
    • Are there volunteer organizations where you can further your skill development? Call them up and set up appointments to volunteer.
    • Have books or training sessions been developed in your specific areas of interest? Visit libraries to see if they are available there, or search local bookstores.
    • Will you need to align yourself with other individuals or organizations for added credibility, shared resources, or support? Create a resource journal to list contact names, numbers and complimentary services.

Give Back - Once you have made strides towards your own purpose in life, consider how you can share your talents or knowledge with others. The more you give back, the more that comes your way. In sharing your time or talents with others, often you will see skills you never thought about before in an entirely new way.

If you’ve never done something before, public speaking for example, other professionals say to feel the fear but don’t let it stop you. Start small, prepare yourself for success as much as possible and get started. As my mentor says, “You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it started.”

That’s a passionate philosophy adopted by Mark Joyner. It’s a great concept which many of us blogging to make a difference have already adopted. I truly love the title “Simpleology.” The idea that things often are not as hard as we think they will be, or as difficult as we make them into.

It’s all about systems, following proven rules to achieve tangible results, and having the single minded focus to keep at it until we see things manifest. According to Mark Joyner, “there are laws existing throughout history that have been responsible for the creation of incredible amounts of wealth for others.” (Quoted from Mark Joyner Constructs-What http://www.markjoyner.name/logs/mj_constructs_what.php)

I’ve been away for a bit and I apologize. Call it a life in progress. Anyway, it’s good to be back blogging to inspire, motivate and encourage others.

Search Google and you’ll find more that 456,000 entries for “Mark Joyner.” His works are everywhere, and his theories proven consistently. Restored calmness and logic brought to over 245,000 people, according to his website, and as seen in the Wall Street Journal. Probably like a lot of other people, I joined Simpleology at least a year ago, but I never did anything else with it. It quickly became one of those things I would “get back around to, but never did.”

What is it that propels a humble factory worker to the pinnacle of success as a fabulous tenor? Following an honorable work path carved out by his father’s footsteps, and 12 hour factory night shifts, what kept his dream of a professional musical career going?

Some might call it perseverance, others a passionate mindset. Whatever it was, probably a combination of many things, I for one am grateful that he kept pushing ahead.

As a youngster, I was a huge fan of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Daren and Frankie Avalon, so I was thrilled to hear the smooth voice of Russell Watson. To think the world almost missed that incredible sound. One radio contest, and a victory over 400 other hopefuls later, and Mr. Watson found himself with a musical career.
