Hearing the senseless acts of violence occuring around the world lately, I'm reminded of a poem by Langston Hughes, ” A Dream Deferred.” It's always difficult to understand why things like that happen. All the unrealized potential, all the years of positive nurturing that went into growing responsible human beings, all the dreams of family life, travel and success in life… taken away from far too many, long before their time.

When?senseless events?happen, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and powerless, frustrated and angry.? Although we may not be physically able to offer assistance at times like this because of finances or?distance etc.,? there is something each of us can begin to do right now that will help to heal the world we live in.
